Fun for kids
Ornithological reserve Velo Blato (Big Mud) is in the southern part of the island of Pag. Nowadays, the site Velo Blato is of great biological importance because it is the habitat of over 160 species of waterfowl. Velo Blato is perfect for photographers who want to capture close-ups of different kinds of birds. To this end, a watch tower was set on the edge ofVelo Blato, which is used for viewing, sightseeing and photographing birds and other wetland world.

Luka Lun or Tovarnele has an everyday ferry connection (Rapska plovidba- Maslina) with the town of Rab which provides an excellent opportunity for a day trip. In Lun, there is a possibility to rent a boat with a skipper who will take you to the most beautiful bays of the island that cannot be reached by land. Also at the tourist office of Lun, you can get information on weekly excursions to the islands of Krk and Lošinj.

The most famous is definitely the Pag lace – recently under the protection of UNESCO as Croatian non-material heritage. Local people have been famous for its salt production. For centuries salt production was the most important economic activity in Pag. This is evidenced by salt storehouses built back in the 16 century, where today stands Museumof Salt.
